Privacy Policy

Account Information: When you create a Dress In Style account, we collect your name, email address, and optional profile details such as your style preferences and body measurements.

Style Mirror Photos: The photo you provide of yourself and the AI-generated try-on result are transmitted to a third-party AI provider solely to generate your virtual try-on. These photos are never stored on Dress In Style's servers — not even transiently. They exist only on your device and are permanently deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its app data.

Wardrobe Data: Photos and metadata of clothing items you add to your digital wardrobe. Unlike Style Mirror photos, wardrobe photos are stored in our cloud storage so your wardrobe stays in sync across devices, and are processed by our AI to provide styling recommendations.

Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, including features used, outfit selections, and preference patterns — used solely to improve your experience.

Device Information: Basic device identifiers, operating system version, and app version for technical support and compatibility purposes.

Device Permissions: We request the following device permissions:

Camera — to capture photos of clothing items and your body photo for virtual try-on.
Photo Library (read) — to select existing photos from your gallery.
Photo Library (save) — to save AI-generated try-on images to your device.

To provide and personalize your AI styling experience, including outfit suggestions, style identity analysis, and smart shopping recommendations.

To improve our AI models and algorithms using anonymized, aggregated data patterns — never individual user photos or personal information.

To send you relevant notifications such as daily outfit suggestions, weather-based recommendations, and feature updates (all configurable in Settings).

To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.

All wardrobe photos and personal data are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3.

Wardrobe (clothing) photos are sent to our secure cloud servers for AI-powered garment analysis. Images are processed in SOC 2-compliant infrastructure and retained only as long as needed to provide the Service.

Style Mirror photos are handled differently: your photo and the generated try-on result are transmitted to a third-party AI provider for processing only, and are never stored on our servers, not even transiently. No on-device AI processing is currently used for either wardrobe analysis or Style Mirror — processing happens off-device, but Style Mirror images are never retained afterward, on our servers or the provider's.

We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to ensure your data remains protected.

Your data is stored in geographically distributed servers to ensure reliability and compliance with regional data regulations.

Authentication tokens and app preferences (theme selection, saved outfits, shopping sessions) are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage and are never transmitted to third parties.

We never sell your personal data. This is a core principle at Dress In Style, and it will never change.

We may share anonymized, aggregated trend data with fashion partners to improve our smart shopping recommendations — but this data can never be traced back to individual users.

We use trusted service providers for cloud hosting and infrastructure. We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The app loads the Playfair Display font from Google Fonts at runtime, which may transmit your device's IP address to Google (subject to Google's Privacy Policy).

For Style Mirror, your photo and the generated try-on image are transmitted to a third-party AI image-processing provider for the sole purpose of generating your virtual try-on. That provider does not retain your images after processing, and Dress In Style does not store them either.

We will disclose information only when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

Access & Export: You can view and export all your data at any time from Settings → Privacy → Export My Data.

Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. This is permanent and irreversible.

Opt-Out: You can disable AI analysis, push notifications, and data collection individually from your privacy settings.

Correction: You can update or correct any personal information in your profile settings at any time.

Wardrobe photos and profile data are retained on our servers for as long as your account is active. Style Mirror photos are never retained on our servers in the first place — see 'Information We Collect' above.

When you delete content from the app, it is removed from active systems within 30 days. Backup copies are fully purged within 90 days.

If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed per the timeline above.

Locally stored data (preferences, tokens, cached images, and Style Mirror photos) is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its app data.

Contract Performance — processing necessary to provide the Service (wardrobe management, outfit suggestions, virtual try-on).

Consent — for optional features such as body photo uploads and push notifications. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Legitimate Interest — for service improvement using anonymized, aggregated data.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Right to Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.

Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information.

Right to Opt-Out — we do not sell personal information. No opt-out is required, but we state this explicitly for transparency.

Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

Dress In Style is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 16, we will promptly delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app and via email.

Your continued use of Dress In Style after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
